Wayne Shorter. Dance cadaverous. What an awesome head!
I always wonder what is going through Wayne Shorter’s head when he solos over his own songs. When I write music, I find myself at infinite crossroads between two compositional choices that I think are both good. I feel like improvising over your own material might give one the choice of recomposing their pieces; here he is definitely building on the melodic material that is in the song already. Blah blah blah i’ll stop now
John Coltrane. Countdown (Alternate take)
